Main and Subordinate Clauses
Understand verb position in German main and subordinate clauses.

Explanation
A main clause can stand alone and normally has the conjugated verb in position 2. A subordinate clause depends on a main clause and sends the conjugated verb to the end.
Hauptsatz: verb in position 2 · Nebensatz: verb at the end.

Examples
Ich bleibe zu Hause, weil es regnet.I stay at home because it is raining.
Weil es regnet, bleibe ich zu Hause.Because it is raining, I stay at home.
Peter sagt, dass er morgen kommt.Peter says that he is coming tomorrow.
